Stephen D’Cunha joins Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa as conference & banqueting manager

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen D’Cunha as our new Conference & Banqueting Manager.

With almost three decades of experience in hospitality, Stephen will oversee all the conference and events business, focusing on operations. Across the Mansion, Country Club and exclusive-use venue, Warren Weir, Stephen’s primary emphasis will be to continue building upon the hotel’s great service delivery, standards and quality.

Another key part of Stephen’s new role with us is working with the management team to develop and support the conference and banqueting team, providing direction, strategic planning and monitoring, to ensure overall smooth operation and guest satisfaction.

Stephen commented on his new job role, “I am really enjoying being a part of this beautiful, traditional hotel and love the heritage and cosy atmosphere here. It’s a great place to work and the team have been so welcoming. My first goal was to build trust and confidence with my team and now, I’m looking at ways to continually improve our service through extensive training and team organisation. I’m passionate about building the best team, to embody the hotel’s five-star rating in all that we do.”

After studying hospitality management in Mumbai, Stephen went on to hold many managerial roles throughout the Gulf, most recently working as food and beverage manager at the Qatar National Convention Centre.
