We will be hosting an exclusive Gourmet Champagne Dinner to celebrate the 150th anniversary of legendary Champagne house Canard-Duchêne. Taking place on Thursday 8 November, the intimate event will be hosted by guest speaker, international brand director for Canard-Duchêne, Cathryn Boudiak.
Set against the stunning backdrop of the opulent Mansion House, the dinner will include a welcome drink and canapés on arrival, followed by a three-course meal with specially paired Champagnes.
The house of Canard-Duchêne was founded in 1868 by Victor Canard, a barrel-maker, and Léonie Duchêne, a grower’s daughter, who together believed the terroir of their village, located in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, had the potential to produce exceptional Champagne. Canard-Duchêne’s unique identity stems from the character and elegance of Pinot Noir: it brings structure to the wine, enhancing fruity notes of cherry, sour cherry, blackberry, redcurrant, strawberry and raspberry.
Throughout the event, Cathryn Boudiak will be sharing her incredible knowledge of Champagne, gained from many years of experience in the industry, and will be adding sparkle to the evening with her fascinating stories and facts. The house of Canard-Duchêne enjoys a close working relationship with Luton Hoo, and has been the Champagne of choice at the five-star hotel since it opened in 2008, becoming a firm favourite among guests.
Tickets for the event, which starts at 7:30pm, are £95 per person. Overnight stays can be added for £75 per person (based on two sharing) including breakfast and use of the spa and leisure facilities.
