After the recent announcement of our new partnership with Bolney Wine Estate, it was important that some of our F&B team visited the vineyard and tasted the wines in situ, to truly understand the brand and the delicious flavours we are selling.
At the beginning of June, our F&B and Training Manager's took team members from the Cellar, Lounge and Wernher Restaurant on a day trip to Haywards Heath to discover the story behind the Bolney Wines.
The team were treated to a packed itinerary full of wonderful wines. Greeted by Sales Executive Nick Hutchinson, the team were given a full tour of the estate, including a stroll through the beautiful vineyard and a visit to their winery and disgorging room, followed by a delicious wine tasting. The Bolney Wine Estate recently combined their expertise with the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew to create a new range of luxury English Sparkling Wines. Luton Hoo are showcasing these wines throughout the summer, so these were top of the list to taste and definitely did not disappoint. They were then lucky enough to try a varied selection from the Bolney portfolio.
A highlight of the visit was seeing how English wine is made, following the journey from grape to bottle. Tasting the wines in a room overlooking the vineyard was also pretty special.
