Luton Hoo Hotel announces Marek Masiar as Employee of the Year

We are proud to announce that our Nights Auditor, Marek Masiar, has won Employee of the Year 2019.

The nominees are shortlisted from the hotel’s monthly GEM reward programme. A 'Going the Extra Mile' award recognises exceptional employee performance, that goes above and beyond their normal job role. From those shortlisted, the HOD's vote for who they believe should be Employee of the Year.

Marek, who has been at Luton Hoo since July 2012, has previously been shortlisted for the award multiple times, so we were delighted when he was named the winner. His commitment to improving standards, delivering excellent service and supporting other departments has made him a stand-out member of the Luton Hoo team.

Matthew Long, General Manager, said "Marek can always be found lending a hand wherever is needed and never expects recognition or thanks as he believes that helping others is just part of his job. Although he works night shifts, he gives up his days off to work in different departments and is always the first to step in. He is a worthy winner of our Employee of the Year award."

James Dawson Coker, Night Manager, said "It is a pleasure to work with Marek so closely. He is incredibly focused, reliable and flexible at all times and genuinely cares about the success of Luton Hoo and delivering great service to our guests. Marek is the embodiment of a team player and thoroughly deserves the award."

Congratulations again to Marek from all the team at Luton Hoo.
