London Olympics 2012

This year will see London hosting the Olympic Games on 27th July – 12th August and the Paralympics on 29th August – 9th September.

Luton Hoo have great transport links to the Olympic sites with being only 2 minutes from Junction 10 of the M1 and a 25 minute drive into central London.

The nearest Olympic venue is the Lea Valley White Water Centre playing host to the Canoe Slalom between Sunday 29th July and Thursday 2nd August, just over 30 minutes away.

Public Transport to the Olympic Sites

There are public transport options for those who want to leave their car behind.

Train

We are a 5 minute drive by car / taxi to Luton Parkway Railway Station which provides a direct route to St.Pancras around every 15 minutes and the journey takes around 40 minutes. The high speed rail service called the ‘Javelin’ runs from St.Pancras to Stratford International which is a few hundred meters walk to the Olympic Park.

Local Park & Ride

If you have time between your trips to the Olympic Games there are plenty of activities on the estate to keep you occupied.
