Wernher Restaurant at Luton Hoo

The Wernher restaurant is named after Sir Julius Wernher who bought Luton Hoo in 1903 and transformed the property into a country seat befitting one of the richest men in the land. Sir Julius made his fortune in diamonds and the restaurant that bears his name is no less of a jewel amongst restaurants in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and beyond.

Our 2 AA Rosette restaurant offers the finest British cuisine and has been praised for its use of seasonal local produce. Located in the Mansion House at Luton Hoo Hotel on the Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire border, the Wernher restaurant offers an exquisite fine dining experience with delicious food and 5 star service.

You are welcome to join us whether you are a guest at the hotel, or just looking for one of the finest restaurants in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire for a memorable meal or special occasion. For groups of 7 or more and for special dining events, our reservations team may ask for a deposit to secure your booking. Please note that menus are subject to seasonal change.

Guests are respectfully reminded that gentlemen are required to wear either a jacket or tie in the Wernher restaurant for dinner and on a Sunday from 1pm.
