Luton Hoo Welcomes Warren Weir

Following a £20 million investment, Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa has opened Warren Weir, its purpose built meeting and wedding venue.

Nestled on the banks of the River Lea, Warren Weir is tucked away on Luton Hoo’s 1,065-acre estate and is a private self-contained retreat, available for exclusive use and offering state-of-the art facilities for corporate and leisure guests. Modelled on the Arts and Crafts era, to blend in with cottages on the estate, the design creates the feel of a village setting rather than a five-star high-tech business centre for up to 400 delegates.

Key features of Warren Weir include:
• 84 bedrooms and suites, with views over the lake, weir, private gardens or river
• Five individually designed function rooms adaptable for conference or leisure use and licensed for weddings and civil ceremonies
• First floor hospitality lounge with balcony views over the water meadows
• Exclusive leisure facilities, including an indoor pool, fitness studio and snooker room
• Kitchen available for clients who want to bring in their own chefs to cater for special dietary requirements

Warren Weir has already been used for several large weddings and conferences, with events booked ahead into 2010.

Elite Hotels Managing Director, Graeme Bateman, said: “The latest stage in Luton Hoo’s development
has been designed to create the perfect complement to the mansion house’s more intimate conference
and meeting facilities, capable of offering facilities for larger meetings and events with exclusive use.

“The setting on the bank of the River Lea lends a feeling of privacy and tranquility for guests, and the
location also provides endless possibilities for event organisers as the courtyard, gardens and
immediate areas are perfect for receptions, product launches and team building events. We are very proud
of this exclusive and unique venue and delighted at the interest and number of bookings it has already attracted.

“The comment most people make on seeing Warren Weir for the first time is that they are surprised it is a
new building as it is so different from the usual type of purpose-built venue. We take this as a compliment
as that is exactly what we set out to achieve.”
