The legacy of one of England's greatest landscape designers, Lancelot 'Capability' Brown, will once again go on show when Luton Hoo hosts a National Gardens Scheme (NGS) open day on Sunday 12th August.
Luton Hoo was a landmark project for the famous English landscape architect who was responsible for over 170 gardens surrounding the finest country houses and estates in Britain. Brown was hired by two successive owners of the estate and Luton Hoo was one of his largest and most significent projects, second only to Blenheim Palace in terms of size and investment.
Admission costs £5 and proceeds will go to NGS charities.
